Sunday Hiking Link

Finding information on popular sports and hobbies (golf, running, hunting, etc) seems very easy compared to the hobby of hiking.  There are not as many blogs, websites, or even magazines dedicated to hiking America. Not truly a surprise but still a frustration to those of us who like to explore.  It's also a great way to stay fit and can work with anyone's budget.

So how does someone learn about the great gear and places to hike?  Well for starters, I suggest Reddit.com. Truly a place with special sub-sections (sub-reddits) ready to talk about, show off, and debate places to hike, gear to buy, and the best times to hit a trail.  Here are a few of my favorites:

  • http://www.reddit.com/r/hiking
If you can't find what you want in those feeds, just do a search.  So many folks use reddit that chances are someone has an answer.
